When Sarah and James first got in touch about their wedding, they weren’t planning on having it at Ir-Razzett L-Abjad. They initially fell in love with Villa Bologna for its luxurious Italian vibe and stunning gardens. But due to the size of their planned wedding party, it just wasn’t possible to have it there.
It took them a while to find a replacement. After all, there are so many stunning wedding venues in Malta. Do a quick online search and you’ll see a long list of beautiful venues around the island. It’s difficult to choose just one!

After months of searching, Sarah came back to me and confirmed that they’ve chosen Ir-Razzett L-Abjad. She was excitedly talking about this traditional Maltese farmhouse and how lovely it was. At that time, I wasn’t sure about how it looked. All I had was whatever Sarah told me and a few phone photos she took from their visit. There wasn’t much about it online. At least not enough to give me a good idea of the venue’s layout.
So I flew to Malta a few days earlier than James and Sarah’s wedding. I was eager to create my wedding photo plan before their big day. They were getting ready at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, getting married at the Parish Church of Saint Mary, and holding their reception at Ir-Razzett L-Abjad. I knew I had to nail the logistics so I can capture their wedding in the best possible way.
I worked with Sarah to figure out the timings and set the expectations for their wedding day. We went back and forth with their plans and my comments before we had the final timeline in place. And the day before their wedding, we even had a final meeting just to confirm we were happy with everything. I loved how we collaborated to make sure everything goes smoothly. And of course, it did!

Here’s what Sarah has to say after she saw her sneak preview photos.
For the first time, I’ve been photographed and felt so comfortable. The photos are so beautiful. Thank you so much, you did an incredible job! Total fairytale! Our portraits were so beautiful, I got so emotional. – Sarah
