paris elopement at the eiffel tower & the louvre

Is there anything more romantic than an elopement in Paris with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop?

I’ve been drawn to Paris for as long as I can remember. So when I meet engaged couples who share the same love for Parisian culture and the French way of living, I get excited. My mind starts racing with all sorts of possibilities. As the saying goes, Paris is always a good idea! Think of romantic Seine River cruises, intimate Parisian elopements, and photo shoots in the best places in Paris.

This year, I finally had the chance to bring some of these ideas to life and I’m delighted to share them with you. Planned with some of the best talents in the wedding industry, this Paris elopement is for you if you’re into Paris, fashion, romance, and having fun!

TOP TIPS FOR YOUR PARIS ELOPEMENT

Before you dive into planning your romantic getaway, here are some of my top tips:

  • Hire a local planner. Paris is one of the most popular cities in the world. With this popularity comes hoards of tourists visiting the city any time of the year and difficulty in planning a destination event. If you want to elope in Paris, look into hiring a local English-speaking planner. They’re in the best position to advise you on your Paris elopement plans, the venue/ locations, weather/ seasons, timings, and anything else relating to your celebration.
  • Consider having a symbolic Paris elopement ceremony. Did you know that most destination weddings in France are symbolic? Getting legally married in France can be tricky and the requirements are complicated if you’re based somewhere else. Discuss this with your wedding planner or do some research and decide what’s right for you.
  • Make it an experience. As a Paris wedding photographer, I’d strongly advise you to ensure you have your Paris elopement beautifully captured. But it shouldn’t just be all about the pretty. Make the most of being in Paris. Enjoy the French cuisine and relish the Parisian scenes while you’re at it.
